About us

“Making a Difference in our clients’ lives”

Cornerstone Healthcare does a complete background screening on all caregivers. We hire only loving, compassionate, and experienced caregivers who are committed to the care and well-being of our clients. All caregivers are fully bonded and insured.

Our professional staff will meet and interview you or your loved one. The needs and wishes of the client will be assessed and a care plan will be created. The caregiver who is chosen will be hand-picked to meet the qualifications personally required on your individual care plan. All caregivers are regularly monitored and evaluated to ensure that they are the best «fit» for the client.


All of our caregivers hold professional licensure; CNA (Certified Nursing Assistant), LPN (License Practical Nurse), or RN (Registered Nurse). We do complete background checks and health screenings. All staff is fully insured and bonded.

Our RN Supervisors pay regular visits to our clients, evaluating and training the caregivers on the specific needs of the client.
We hand-pick our caregivers and employ only those who have the same philosophy as ours: Treat the client like you would a member of your own family!!!

About our Administrator

Claudia Osterhout is the co-founder and Administrator of Cornerstone Healthcare. She was the main caregiver for her father while he was dealing with esophageal cancer. During the times that she wasn’t available or just needed to tend to her own family, Claudia hired a caregiver from a large home health care company. That experience was not a positive one for her dad, or herself. The caregivers were placed without any personal consideration of her fathers’ needs. That experience started the idea that home health care can be and should be more “client driven”.


After her father passed, Claudia worked as a volunteer Guardian ad Litem, an advocate for abused and neglected children. Although rewarding, she was looking for something full time to be of service to others. That led her to a small home health agency. Her role as the office manager gave her the opportunity to build relationships with the clients and make sure that their needs were met on a daily basis. She helped to implement a “client driven” policy.


After years of living away from her children and grandchildren, Claudia and her husband decided the time was right to move to Atlanta. Seeing the need in the Atlanta area for a Private Home Care Provider who is “client driven”, and who believes in “a personal touch”, Claudia decided to form her own company with two other homecare industry veterans.
